I have been a bit swamped with teaching and haven't been around to comment. I love your header and the part of Marge Piercy's poem. It is one of my favorites. I read it at a retirement dinner in September as a tribute to a dear college professor friend. I have kept up on your blog on Google reader, but wanted to get back to visit!
