Today. My tooth. Broken.
Talk about ya fixa uppa . . . man I got some work to be done.
So I get home from work, dog tired, kick off my shoes, take off my earrings, plop down on the bed, fire up my laptop to check on the internet universe, hubby brings me a salad (he got home early), I take a bite - CRACK!!!!!!
Om my gosh, what the heck. Ok, I might not have said heck.
I look in the salad to see if there are rocks in it.
Nope, no rocks.
Take another bite - CRACK!!!!!!!
Oh my gosh - is it my tooth? Honey, do we have any flashlights? Yes. Where is one? Hold on.. here it is - what's wrong? I gotta look in the mirror at my tooth.
I broke my tooth. Badly.
Good grief Charlie Brown.
Well, I guess I gotta go to the dentist tomorrow.
Now I have something to blog about.
Stay tuned. I know this is not over.

that happened to be on a burrito a few years ago.
The whole side of the tooth collapsed off of the filling.
It wasn't pretty.
I'd send that salad back :)
Hope you get everything taken care of relatively painlessly.
Oh, that must have been painful!
I hope the dentist gets it all fixed up today.
Wow, I'm kind of scared to eat salad now.
I sure hope your repaired tooth cost you much less than mine did!
fire the cook!
I have broken teeth on some pretty odd things myself and I know your pain....sorry. Get to the dentist asap and feel better soon...;D
Ooohhh ... I've been there. The worse part--besides the cost of the repair-- is sticking one's tongue in the broken crevices (or at least that's what I did!). Good luck with the repair!
I will join the others in saying that have said I know the feeling. It is such a huge blessing to have access to dental care and to be able to get it fixed. I know far too many people who have lost many teeth for lack of affordable care.
One blessing for me when I cracked my tooth: it coincided with a serious ant problem we were having in our house a couple of summers ago. Between my disgust at the appearance of the ants and the pain I felt in my mouth, in that one week, I lost 8 pounds! I put have them back on since then, but it felt great to be at the lowest number I'd been in many years! Even if only for a few days!
