"We do not remember days; we remember moments." I believe someone named Cesare Pavese said this.
This morning, I had moments that I will remember. Early morning found my husband and I with rare quiet, so we made a decision to go out - in search of a wee coffee shop yet undiscovered (by us).
We found the place.
Here. We sat, ordered coffee - and breakfast - and I lived my own life, captured moments such as these shown, and more.
The cozy little bakery place is now a favorite memory. More to come I'm certain.
Approaching The Midnight Hour

North Alabama remains quiet as a mouse, while showers have formed to the
south… See the surface chart below… the cold front is past Memphis, and
around her...

I've got to do this... to go search for a moment.
I love mornings like that! So glad you got to make a moment for yourself~
Sounds like a lovely morning, Shelby! I rarely miss attending church on Sundays, but I'm choosing to live my own way today (God will forgive me!). I just need one of those "me time" mornings!
I love your photos.
I love this :) Yes, the little moments in between are the best parts of life.
Amazing photos.. amazing.
Some of my favorite moments in life are at tiny little coffee shops, sipping, taking photos, journaling, in silence. SIpping coffee but gulping in my life. Giving thanks and receiving blessed quietness and peace. Aaah. Thanks for sharing this story and these images.
