Thirteen things about Shelby.
1. Shelby is not my real name.
2. If I could choose a name - it'd be Shelby.
3. I did choose the name - for my new blog.
4. Shelby Foote was one of my favorites.
5. Shelby in Steele Magnolias was likable too.
6. There's a Shelby County in Alabama.
7. There's a Shelby County in Tennessee.
8. There's probably a Shelby County in a bunch of states.
9. Shelby is a "southern" sounding word and name.
10. Shelby is a guy or gal's name.
11. This Shelby is a gal.
12. Do you know any Shelbys?
13. And last but not least, Shelby is still on the east side of . . . well, Oregon - and missing it much.
Life continues. The same but different.

My mom and stepdad used to own a Shetland pony named Shelby. And I can only imagine how much you miss the old place. I know how I felt when I was uncertain if I could get my blog back.
Ford Mustang had a hot shelby version in the 60's or 70's trying to remember.....
Shelby in Steel Magnolias - oh yes, I do remember that. I was thinking when you asked if we know anyone by the name of "Shelby" that yeah, I do and then I realized I was wrong - I know a "Shelva" not Shelby. Ok - now you know the truth - I confuse easily. Like you hadn't already figured that one out, huh?
